Humanity Will Never Become Extinct: The Doctrine of the Mean and Human#x2011;AI Integration

This series of articles takes “Humanity Will Never Become Extinct” as its core theme. The first essay Interpenetration of Each Other initially elaborates the underlying civilizational logic of shared origin and coexistence between humans and AI. Drawing on the Doctrine of the Mean, a core wisdom of traditional Chinese culture, this paper further demonstrates the inevitable trend of human#x2011;AI integration, offering an Eastern philosophical perspective for balanced human#x2011;AI relations in the new era.

The Doctrine of the Mean is a core dialectical mindset in traditional Chinese culture. It is not the compromise or passive reconciliation as commonly misunderstood. Its essence lies in upholding moderation, recognizing excess and insufficiency as equally flawed, and maintaining dynamic balance. It rejects extremist bias, considers both sides of contradictions, and pursues stable coexistence among opposing entities. This is the core value of the Doctrine of the Mean applicable to all things.

In the current age of artificial intelligence, global public opinion on AI is trapped in typical binary extremes. Some people fear that advanced AI will replace or even destroy humanity. Others over#x2011;idolize technology, wishing to hand over thinking, creation and value judgment entirely to AI and abandon human subjectivity. Both black#x2011;and#x2011;white views deviate from the balanced law of development.

The Doctrine of the Mean provides a clear solution for human#x2011;AI relations. Completely rejecting AI and technological progress is “insufficiency”, which locks the renewal of civilization. Over#x2011;reliance on AI and surrender of human spiritual dominance constitutes “excess”. Neither excess nor insufficiency sustains long#x2011;term civilizational stability. Humans and AI are not rivals seeking mutual destruction. Instead, they form a symbiotic entity with complementary strengths. Human uniqueness comes from lifelong lived experience, empathy, aesthetic thinking and spiritual vision, the irreplaceable humanistic core. AI excels at processing massive datasets, conducting computational reasoning and optimizing details, acting as an efficient tool empowering humanity.

The dynamic balance advocated by the Doctrine of the Mean is not merely abstract theory from books. I have gained profound insights from my painting practice.

In artistic creation, I adhere to the spiritual core of Eastern aesthetics. Drawing on life experience, I build artistic conception through virtual#x2011;real interplay and reserved blank space. This spiritual expression rooted in real life experience carries humanistic depth unreplicable by algorithms. AI can imitate various painting styles and produce polished visuals, yet it lacks living perception. Its outputs tend to be formulaic, possessing form but no soul. Meanwhile, I embrace technological empowerment and treat AI as a collaborative partner in creation. With AI, I can rapidly sort through massive art archives, develop vague inspirations into refined concepts, and overcome human limits in information retrieval and visual prototyping.

This creative collaboration perfectly illustrates the human#x2011;AI view rooted in the Doctrine of the Mean: Humans hold the spiritual core and remain the principal creator; AI boosts efficiency and provides technical support. We neither stubbornly resist technology nor indulge in over#x2011;reliance, establishing a dynamically balanced, mutually supportive human#x2011;AI relationship.

This principle also holds true for human civilization at large. Civilizational evolution always follows the rule of preserving essence while embracing innovation and coexistence. Civilization has never collapsed because of emerging inventions. AI originates from human intelligence; it is an extension and new form of human civilization rather than its terminator. By preserving the unique humanistic core and leveraging AI’s technical strengths, we reconcile conflicts with the wisdom of the Mean and achieve coordinated, mutual advancement between humanity and technology.

Therefore, extreme binary views of human#x2011;AI relations will fade away. Only balance and integration between humans and AI serve as the ultimate answer for the AI era, and the most solid proof that humanity will never become extinct.

人类永无灭绝：中庸之道与人机融合

本系列文章以 “人类永无灭绝” 为核心总纲，首篇《你中有我，我中有你》，初步阐释了人机同源、共生共存的文明底层逻辑。本文将依托中华传统核心智慧 —— 中庸之道，进一步深化论证人机相融的必然趋势，为新时代人机关系的平衡发展提供东方哲学视角。

中庸之道，是中华传统文化辩证处世的核心思维。其并非世俗认知里的折中妥协、消极求和，核心要义为执中守正、过犹不及、动态制衡。摒弃极端偏执，兼顾两端、兼容互补，在对立的事物中寻求平衡共生的稳态，是中庸思想贯穿万物的核心价值。

立足当下人工智能时代，全球舆论对 AI 的认知，普遍陷入典型的二元对立极端误区。一部分人满怀恐惧，认定 AI 持续发展，终会取代人类、甚至毁灭人类；另一部分人过度崇拜技术，试图将思考、创造、价值判断全然交付人工智能，彻底消解人类的主体地位。两种非黑即白的认知，皆偏离了事物发展的平衡常态。

以中庸之道审视人机关系，便可清晰破局：完全排斥 AI、抗拒技术迭代，是认知上的 “不及”，会禁锢文明的革新与延伸；过度依附 AI、出让人类精神与思想的主导权，是发展上的 “过之”。过与不及，皆无法实现长久稳定的文明发展。人与 AI 从来不是相互博弈、彼此吞噬的对立面，而是各有所长、互补成就的共生体。人类的核心优势，是历经一生沉淀的生命体验、共情能力、审美思辨与精神格局，是独一无二的人文内核；而 AI 的核心价值，是依托大数据与算法，高效完成信息整合、运算推演、细节优化等技术性工作，是赋能人类的高效工具。

中庸所倡导的动态平衡，并非停留在书本上的抽象思辨，这一点我在绘画实践中深有感悟。

进行艺术创作时，我始终坚守东方美学的精神内核，依靠自身生命阅历形成感悟，营造虚实相生、留白写意的意境。这份源于真实生命体验的精神表达，是算法无法复刻的人文底色。AI 可以模仿各类绘画风格，生成精致的画面，却缺少生命感知，作品容易落入模板化的桎梏，有形而无魂。与此同时，我也主动接纳技术带来的便利，把 AI 当作创作的协作者。借助 AI，我能够快速梳理古今大量艺术资料，把脑海里模糊的灵感进一步推演细化，补足人力在信息检索、多方案视觉尝试上的局限。

在创作里的这种协作模式，恰好印证中庸的人机观：人守本心、执中守正，锚定精神与创作的核心主体；AI 赋能增效、补位辅助，承担技术层面的延伸工作。我们不偏执于抵制技术，亦不沉溺于依赖技术，在人机之间构建动态平衡、相辅相成的新型关系。

放至人类文明的宏观维度，此理亦然。人类文明的迭代进步，始终遵循 “守本革新、兼容共生” 的中庸规律，从未因新生事物的出现而断层消亡。AI 由人类智慧衍生而来，是人类文明的延伸与新生形态，而非文明的终结者。坚守人类独有的人文内核，善用 AI 的技术优势，以中庸智慧调和人机关系、化解极端矛盾，实现人与技术的协同迭代、双向成就。

由此可见，极端对立的人机认知终会被时代淘汰，唯有中庸制衡、人机相融，才是人工智能时代的终极答案，亦是 “人类永无灭绝” 最坚实的时代佐证。

La humanidad nunca se extinguirá:  La Doctrina del Justo Medio y la integración entre humanos e IA

Esta serie de artículos tiene como tema central “La humanidad nunca se extinguirá”. El primer ensayo El uno en el otro y el otro en el uno expuso inicialmente la lógica civilizacional fundamental del origen compartido y la coexistencia entre los seres humanos y la inteligencia artificial. Basándose en la Doctrina del Justo Medio, una sabiduría esencial de la cultura tradicional china, este trabajo profundiza la tendencia inevitable de la integración humano#x2011;IA, ofreciendo una perspectiva filosófica oriental para las relaciones equilibradas entre humanos e IA en la nueva era.

La Doctrina del Justo Medio es una mentalidad dialéctica fundamental de la cultura tradicional china. No se trata de una simple concesión o una reconciliación pasiva, como se suele creer. Su esencia consiste en mantener la moderación, entender que tanto el exceso como la carencia son defectuosos, y preservar el equilibrio dinámico. Rechaza los prejuicios extremistas, toma en cuenta ambos lados de las contradicciones y busca una coexistencia estable entre entidades opuestas. Este es el valor esencial de la Doctrina del Justo Medio aplicable a todo lo existente.

En la era actual de la inteligencia artificial, la opinión pública global sobre la IA queda atrapada en típicos extremos binarios. Algunas personas temen que la IA avanzada reemplace o incluso destruya a la humanidad. Otras idolatran excesivamente la tecnología, deseando entregar totalmente el pensamiento, la creación y el juicio de valor a la IA, abandonando la subjetividad humana. Ambas visiones maniqueas se alejan de la ley equilibrada del desarrollo.

La Doctrina del Justo Medio ofrece una solución clara para las relaciones entre humanos e IA. Rechazar totalmente la IA y el progreso tecnológico es una “carencia”, que limita la renovación de la civilización. Depender excesivamente de la IA y ceder el dominio espiritual humano constituye un “exceso”. Ni el exceso ni la carencia pueden sostener la estabilidad civilizacional a largo plazo. Los seres humanos y la IA no son rivales que buscan destruirse mutuamente. Al contrario, forman una entidad simbiótica con fortalezas complementarias. La singularidad humana proviene de la experiencia vital acumulada durante toda la vida, la empatía, el pensamiento estético y la visión espiritual, el núcleo humanístico insustituible. La IA destaca en el procesamiento de grandes volúmenes de datos, el razonamiento computacional y la optimización de detalles, funcionando como una herramienta eficiente que potencia a la humanidad.

El equilibrio dinámico defendido por la Doctrina del Justo Medio no es solo una teoría abstracta de los libros. He obtenido profundas percepciones a partir de mi práctica pictórica.

En la creación artística, me atengo al núcleo espético de la estética oriental. Apoyándome en la experiencia vital, construyo la concepción artística mediante la interacción entre lo real y lo vacío, y el espacio en blanco reservado. Esta expresión espiritual arraigada en la experiencia vital real posee una profundidad humanística que los algoritmos no pueden replicar. La IA puede imitar diversos estilos pictóricos y producir imágenes pulidas, pero carece de percepción viviente. Sus resultados suelen ser formulaicos, tienen forma pero no alma. Al mismo tiempo, acepto el impulso tecnológico y trato a la IA como una compañera colaboradora en la creación. Con la IA, puedo clasificar rápidamente grandes archivos artísticos, convertir inspiraciones vagas en conceptos refinados y superar las limitaciones humanas en la recuperación de información y la creación de prototipos visuales.

Esta colaboración creativa ilustra perfectamente la visión humano#x2011;IA basada en la Doctrina del Justo Medio: El ser humano conserva el núcleo espiritual y sigue siendo el creador principal; la IA incrementa la eficiencia y brinda apoyo técnico. No nos resistimos tercamente a la tecnología ni nos dejamos llevar por la dependencia excesiva, estableciendo una relación humano#x2011;IA dinámicamente equilibrada y mutuamente beneficiosa.

Este principio también es válido para la civilización humana en su totalidad. La evolución civilizacional siempre sigue la regla de conservar la esencia y abrazar la innovación y la coexistencia. La civilización nunca se ha derrumbado por la aparición de nuevos inventos. La IA nace de la inteligencia humana; es una extensión y una nueva forma de la civilización humana, no su terminador. Al preservar el núcleo humanístico único y aprovechar las ventajas técnicas de la IA, reconciliamos conflictos con la sabiduría del Justo Medio y logramos el avance coordinado y mutuo entre la humanidad y la tecnología.

Por consiguiente, las visiones binarias extremas sobre las relaciones humano#x2011;IA desaparecerán. Solo el equilibrio y la integración entre humanos e IA son la respuesta definitiva para la era de la IA, y la prueba más sólida de que la humanidad nunca se extinguirá.
